Romania Fiscalization for Dynamics 365 Commerce

Frontline Tech’s Romania fiscalization solution enables retailers operating in Romania to integrate local fiscal requirements directly into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce.

The solution connects Store Commerce with the supported Romanian fiscal environment through S4FiscalService and a certified fiscal printer setup, embedding fiscalization into the normal POS workflow. Fiscal transaction information is linked to the corresponding commerce transaction and available in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations for traceability.

Key features & benefits

Seamless Romanian fiscal integration

Connects Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce with the supported Romanian fiscal printer environment, integrating fiscalization directly into the standard Store Commerce workflow.

Romanian fiscal receipts

Fiscal sales are processed automatically as part of the POS flow, with Romanian fiscal receipts generated by the certified fiscal printer using the supported tax and payment information.

Fiscal transaction traceability

Fiscal registration information and fiscal responses are linked to the corresponding commerce transaction and available in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, providing traceability between the original POS transaction and its fiscal result.

Romania-specific return handling

Supports the Romanian return process directly from Store Commerce. Returns are handled internally in POS, while the fiscal register is updated through the supported non-fiscal cash-out process.

Fiscal end-of-day processing

Supports Romanian fiscal reporting and daily closure as part of the Store Commerce operational flow, including fiscal X reporting and fiscal Z reporting during shift closure.

Scope & responsibilities

What’s not included

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce licensing.
  • Certified Romanian fiscal printers or other third-party fiscal hardware.
  • Third-party fiscal services, middleware licensing, maintenance or support.
  • Customer-specific commerce processes or integrations outside the agreed Romania fiscalization scope.
  • Integration with alternative fiscal devices or fiscal service providers outside the supported Romania architecture.
  • Romania e-Invoicing, e-Transport, SAF-T or other F&O localization/reporting functionality outside the POS fiscalization scope.

Customer responsibilities

  • Maintain the required Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce environment and licensing.
  • Procure and maintain the supported certified Romanian fiscal printer setup.
  • Procure and maintain the required S4FiscalService and associated fiscal middleware/services.
  • Ensure the required fiscal hardware and services are correctly configured, maintained and available for operation.
  • Maintain the customer-specific tax, store and fiscal configuration required for the applicable business setup.
