through the use of touch screen technology.
Seniors begin by having an ID card scanned.
This identifies the individual for future analysis and trending.
All activities available for the day are displayed on a touch screen where
seniors “touch” the activity they will be attending.
--Attendance and registration information
is stored in a centralized database.
--A separate PDA application has been developed that allows recording of attendance
at separate satellite locations where a network connection would not be feasible. At the beginning of the day, the PDA
is updated with the latest activities available at the senior center for a specific
day. Attendance is scanned during the
day and uploaded to the centralized database at the end of the day.
