Founded in October 1996, and based in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, Frontline Technologies is an innovator in the field of software development. While there are many companies that offer software solutions, we are one of the few companies that consistently solve our customers’ problems using a proven, homegrown software development methodology. We are a full-life-cycle firm, specializing in project management, software design, development and delivery. History

Before Frontline Technologies opened its doors, both our founder, Kris Subramaniam, and his partner, Peter Gust, applied their skills at large firms focused on IT consulting. They gained valuable experience and knowledge as they successfully implemented large-scale software projects. They soon realized something critical was lacking at most consulting firms --- an effective, proven methodology. Most methodologies were either extremely process intensive or dependent on an enormous amount of paperwork. Frontline Technologies was founded to address these shortcomings by successfully combining approaches. Instead of choosing one approach over the other, we blend effective requirements gathering with rapid application prototyping. This gives you, our customer, an evolving view of your new system, so that there are no unpleasant surprises at project completion.

Effective, Reliable Solutions

Frontline Technologies is a project-based firm; we have always taken a process-oriented approach to software development. Our Process Implementation projects were formerly achieved through customized programming, which meant process changes also required time-consuming programming changes. To tackle this issue, we built numerous components to make process changes easier. However, we are never content to stop at merely good enough, so we went looking for a superior solution. What we found was the BPMS (Business Process Management) / Workflow world. BPMS is an emerging management software solution that can dramatically change the way a company deploys and manages mission critical processes. Changes are no longer bogged down by cumbersome programming requirements. With speed and reliability, BPMS toolset provides companies with a simpler means of executing and optimizing their business processes, eliminating hassles, and reducing operating costs. “Gartner predicts that revenues in these areas could well exceed $30 billion.” In 2006, we examined and compared several BPMS products. While we found many of them promising, we chose to partner with Skelta, Ascentn, and Singularity. We have been most impressed with Singularity, as it provides a total, one-solution development environment.
